Angelina Jolie is seen chatting with Brad Pitt’s friend Chris Rock at her NYC fashion event

Angelina Jolie was spotted spending time with co-star Chris Rock on Thursday evening.

The Oscar-winning movie star was one of the presenters during a special evening event at his store, Atelier Jolie. New York City .

Jolie and Rock – friends with Angelina’s ex-husband Brad Pitt – were photographed by Tan Chen in photos shared on the store’s Instagram page.

They sat next to each other during a sit-down dinner where sculpture was discussed. The event was also attended by fashion designers Tory Burch and Diane von Furstenberg.

‘An unforgettable evening at Atelier Jolie with Catharsis Arts Foundation, which uses sculpture to embody social issues, create empathy and empower communities in a virtuous cycle,’ the caption read.

‘It was founded by artist @prune and Catharsis Arts Foundation President @claudegrunitzky Brune and Claude, whose mission and current project Statues Even Talk About Breathe.

The project works with Obafemi-Awolowo University’s Department of Fine & Applied Arts and families of Chibok girls. He was kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists in 2014 .

‘The project, inspired by ancient Ife terracotta heads, raises awareness of the still-missing girls and highlights the global struggle for girls’ education.

‘A big thank you to @eatoffbeat for cooking an exquisite dinner to celebrate this special occasion and everyone who helped make the event so meaningful.

Atelier Jolie opened last year and the shop is buzzing with classes on how to get creative with clothes.

There was a session on ‘upcycling’, the re-use of old materials, and a class on experimental drawing with Andrew Castrucci.

Before that there was a class in Intimates where ‘you can learn how to make intimate dresses inspired by designers.’ And another meeting with Giancarlo Cibri on the use of appliqué with silkscreen and Mimi Blanche felting.
