Zappaty, a Glasgow-based file sharing platform for SMEs, has appointed experienced bank executive Stuart Montgomerie as chief strategy officer and adviser.
Mr Montgomerie is a former Santander and Royal Bank of Scotland managing director.
David Stickland, co-founder and CEO of Zappaty, said: “With Stuart on board, we’re well-positioned to accelerate our growth ambitions.”
Mr Montgomerie commented: “The platform’s approach to file sharing and collaboration is transformative, and I’m looking forward to helping shape the company’s strategy, to drive its impact and expand its reach across new markets.”
Zappaty was created out of the frustrations of trying to securely share massive models and artwork in video game development.
Mr Stickland and co-founder John Thornewill realised the applications of this technology could meet the demands of businesses globally for secure file sharing.
Zappaty, which has been raising £1m in seed investment, is a low-cost business in a global market projected to be worth over $83.3 billion by 2030.
